The unregistered version.
The The Musician 2.3.0 unregistered version is fully working, but shows always its about box, when you open it.
When you register The Musician the "irritating" about box don't more appears and any "unregistered" notice will be replaced by the registration infos.
Be careful: if you've an e-mail address you will receive the serial number as soon. To enter the serial number use the "Register Now" button, in the about box.
Distribution.
The Musician 2.3.0 is ｩ1995-97 Rocco Moliterno. It can be freely distributed without my previous permission, without any changes and with this "Read Me" from: online services, BBS, non-profit user groups, people.
The Musician 2.3.0 can also be included, without my previous permission, without changes and with this "Read Me", in all CD-ROM or disk shareware collections and in all CD-ROM or Disk magazines (anyway an e-mail or a notice will be welcome, as well as a copy of the magazine or media :-).
The Musician 2.3.0 may not be included in a commercial package without my permission.
Overview.
The The Musician 2.3.0 package contains two version of the application:
ﾃ...The Musician 2.3.0 (68K) for 68K Macs or, in emulation, for Power Macs.
ﾃ...The Musician 2.3.0 (PPC) for Power Macs.
The Musician is an useful application for playing 'snd ' resources from files. It can work, very fast, in background and is very cool when scans one or more HD, CD, folders, diskettes, files, searching for 'snd ' resources to play. The Musician plays sounds asynchronously, so while it is playing you can work with your favourite application. According to your setting The Musician plays any sound immediately or else asks for consent, conveying you the number of 'snd ' resources found in the examined file.
The Musician is Drag Manager and Internet Config aware. It requires at least System 7 to run.
Open items.
You can open disks, folders, files by Drag&Drop onto The Musician desktop icon, by selecting them through "File menu" or by dragging theirs icons on The Musician "Drag Window" (shown below).

While The Musician is working the window below returns some informations:

Hot Key.
If you drag or select items, while option key is down, then The Musician tells you how many sounds the examinated file contains and asks for consent, before to play them.

Menus.
You may perform any action of above by using the "Open" menu item inside the "File Menu". You can also use Hot Key, while you're selecting a file.
From "Internet Menu" you can open Internet Config , send me e-mails, visit my web pages or copy my addresses.
More.
While The Musician is the foreground application, you can press escape or command-period to exit during its performance (note that escape key tracking is more fast than command-period tracking). Instead when The Musician is the background application you can use only escape key to stop its job.
When The Musician completes its job and if it's in background, then attempts to call back your attention, to show its statistics, by a simple notification procedure. If you do nothing or are working with another application, after a brief waiting time (about 30 seconds), it close its info window.
The Musician is able to use temporary memory and can manage very large 'snd ' resources, but, if some trouble occurs, you can try to increase its memory allocation.
